What is the emotion to be an artist? I enjoy beauty, aesthetics, I see that it is part of nature and makes me happy that enjoyment. I also see how every image provokes different feelings in different people. As an artist, being able to be a creator of beauty and express my feelings, ideas and vision of the world makes me feel privileged with a capacity that I feel is my duty to exploit. I feel happy to be able to give the world something of myself.

When I create my works, I do this straight off or I think my works and I elaborate them before?  My work has its different processes depending on the pictorial proposal. My work is mostly inspired by the human figure. There are proposals where the primacy arises, there is no preconceived idea, there are others where a schematic sketch of an idea is prepared and others of more elaborate sketches especially if they are three-dimensional. But I like the work to surprise me, uncertainty motivates me and almost always in the process there are changes even in the work of more elaborate sketches.

Is the world only source of inspiration or confrontation with other artists?  Although the world is a source of inspiration, it can also be confrontational. Not everyone is always in agreement with your ideas, but that's what the controversy motivates.

When I create I'm aware that I transmit a message. What would it be like to answer my public?  More than anything else, I expect from the public that my art pleases, that it excites, that it catches. That is integrated to the work putting their experiences, their experiences, There are issues that I do not know myself that are in the work and that dialogue between work and viewer is important for me.

How much important is the dialogue with the great artists of the past and which of them do I appreciate more?  It has its importance, some are the ones that have inspired me, they are the teachers, but I never wanted to look like one of them. I am very fond of Edward Munch's work for its mystery, its images proves in my questioning about human existence. Dali inspires me for his creativity, imagination and color. Van Gogh admired him for his unique and expressive brushstroke, prints the canvas with his expiritu.

Is Art the rigor of the rules, freedom of expression or a compromise between them?  Commitment between the rigor of the rules and the freedom of expression, Every human being can express himself but some have more capacity to do it with art. Achieving that balance is the correct route.

Did I ever think to renounce making Art?  No, art is part of myself, to renounce the is to die, is to cease to be.

Did I ever express myself with other forms of Art (writings, poetry, music, etc.)?  I have made my amateur raids on poetry, short story and music but the visual arts are the ones that motivate me the most.
